“Rottnest is a beautiful island with lots to see and do. Bike hire is great to get around. I’m not very fit but managed to get around ok, some of the hills were very steep but you just stop and take in the scenery. The quokkas were very cute. Had a nice lunch at one of the hotels. Some of the beaches were very busy- salmon bay was the nicest. I think $120 is a lot of money for a 30 min ferry ride however the island was beautiful and must be done while in Perth.”

She recognised the good management of the island's transport and also its waste management processes. We were very limited with time so only skimmed the surface, however the whole day, including lunch, was excellent. Just sorry we missed the museum as we got back from our bike ride after it had closed - I'm sure it would have been exceptional to experience more of the island's history.”

“Turned up to the Island, had back and forth with the operator about bike sizes for kids. I provided height of my youngest, the operator didn’t put a kids bike on the boat. Adult bikes were way too big for an 8YO at 135cm. Tried to find a resolution, staff in the end didn’t care and walked away leaving us without a bike. Asked for a refund. Didn’t get it over a week later. Operator was Rottnest Express, I’d suggest using a different ferry operator and hire your bike from the hire store on the island who have much better quality bikes, much better service and seem to be cheaper.…”

Light lunch was great (wrap/cookie & water). Completed bus tour after lunch & saw every bit of Rottnest you can get a bus to - which is most of it. Another hour at settlement at end of tour guarantee you'll see Quokka at the bakery! Excellent day out and well worth the money.”
